ABOUT Dr. Novetsky
Dr. Jason Novetsky is a Sport & Performance Psychology Coach who helps athletes, teams, and high performers build mental toughness, emotional control, and confidence under pressure. He believes talent is often overvalued—and that the real competitive advantage is a trained mind.
His coaching blends evidence-based sport psychology with practical Stoic principles, teaching clients how to focus on what they can control, respond instead of react, and stay composed when the stakes are high. Rather than chasing outcomes, Dr. Novetsky helps performers commit to the process, manage adversity, and execute with clarity and discipline.
Dr. Novetsky works on key mental skills such as self-image, growth mindset, focus, emotional regulation, confidence, imagery, routines, and goal setting. Athletes and professionals learn how to prepare mentally away from competition and develop simple, repeatable performance plans they can trust in pressure moments.
He holds a PhD in Education, a Master’s degree in School & Clinical Psychology, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Dr. Novetsky spent 25 years as a school psychologist, has over 13 years of experience in sport and performance psychology, coached baseball for 9 years, and was an All-Conference Division I pitcher at the University of Detroit giving him firsthand insight into the mental demands of elite performance.
Based in Birmingham, Michigan, Dr. Novetsky works with collegiate, high school, and club teams, as well as business professionals, physicians, attorneys, and athletes of all levels—both in person and virtually—to help them perform at their best and achieve their personal championships.
